Journey to the Top: Launch of Meet the Executive Program

A motivational learning, networking and development series for UNSW business students, ‘Meet the Executive', was launched by the Australian School of Business in August.
Two dynamic and inspirational business leaders will provide keynote speeches at each event, providing students with high-level networking opportunities, personal and professional development, and informal and experiential learning.

Professor Chris Adam, Associate Dean Postgraduate Programs at the Australian School of Business said: “these speakers will impart knowledge about entrepreneurship while at the top of their chosen field. Speakers will also reveal key skills required to be successful and discuss management as an art form.”
The Meet the Executive program has been established to provide students with insights about the exceptional knowledge and skills required to advance their careers.
"The personal and professional network is one of the most valuable assets for business students. Employers agree that to be successful in today’s competitive market, it is most important for business students and graduates to continually meet new people, build relationships and leverage their network,” said Professor Adam.
The Meet the Executive series was launched in Sydney on August 16, 2007 by prominent business leaders Damien Tampling, Partner, Corporate Finance Advisory Group, Deloitte, and Jeremy King, Senior Manager, Banking and Securitisation Group, Macquarie Bank,.
Mr Tampling and Mr King discussed their life experiences in the corporate world and strategies for building a successful career.
The second Meet The Executive program will be held on October 4, at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel, 6-8pm. Sponsors include the Australian Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and KPMG.
