The Centre for Research in Finance
The Centre for Research in Finance (CRIF) is one of the oldest and most internationally recognised of Australian financial research centres and is located at the Australian School of Business™ at UNSW.

CRIF was founded in the late 1970s by Professor Philip Brown, founding Dean of the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at The University of New South Wales (UNSW).

CRIF’s longevity, commitment to high quality research, innovation, and national significance as a leading Australian finance research centre is due in large part to the stewardship of a number of internationally recognised accounting and finance academics. Philip Brown, Ray Ball, John Bowers, Peter Dodd, Peter Swan, Greg Whittred, Mark Hirst, Tom Smith, John Lyon, Greg ClinchChris Adam, Baljit Sidhu, and David Gallagher have all contributed their extensive expertise to CRIF since it was founded.

Today, CRIF operates as an integral part of the financial research architecture within the Australian School of Business™ at UNSW, and by way of subscription is also sourced by many of Australia’s research-intensive universities.
