Dr Kar Ming Chong recognised for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning as part of the Australian Awards for University Teaching
Dr Kar Ming Chong, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Accounting, has recently been recognised for his commitment to quality learning and teaching with a "Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning", as part of the Australian Awards for University Teaching. He is one of the four UNSW citation winners. They were among more than 180 of the nation's leading university academics and professional staff recognised for their teaching contributions at a reception in Sydney.
Kar Ming has been an active proponent of the flipped classroom approach at the UNSW Business School. His citation is for "transforming an undergraduate accounting course using an active learning approach involving collaborative learning, innovative technologies and authentic tasks to deepen and enliven students' learning".
