A gift from your estate might endow scholarships for gifted and disadvantaged students to attend UNSW. It can help fund academic research, or provide innovative facilities and resources at the UNSW Australia Business School. It can help a post-graduate student attain their Masters or Doctorate, equipping them to make changes in their world.
Make a bequest – and make a difference to generations
Sensible estate management suggests that every individual should make a Will. By including a bequest to specific beneficiaries, donors can retain the use and enjoyment of assets during their lifetime, knowing that the eventual disbursement of assets is made according to their wishes.
Derek To (BCom '73) was inspired to leave us a legacy, in his own words:
"The donation is my footprint in Australia and I share it with my parents. We are very proud of our history and we have always called Australia 'home'."
When it comes to writing your Will, there is no doubt you will want to consider your loved ones as a matter of priority. There are many ways to accommodate your family's expectations as well as leaving a footprint in society. For example, an effective Will could include the Business School as a beneficiary of a percentage of your estate, or a particular property, assets, insurance or shares, or the remainder of your estate -
after your family has been considered.
The truth is incredible things can be achieved within society by remembering emerging Business graduates in your Will.
If you would to let us know your intentions then we would truly value being able to thank you and support you in your interests.
