Policies & guidelines

AGSM Career Development Centre believes that it is in the best interest of students and the AGSM @ UNSW Business School community that students and recruiters adhere to a general code of conduct.

The guidelines below are designed to ensure that all participants have an opportunity to explore and make the best possible choices, and that all recruiting activities are conducted with a high level of professionalism.

Conduct expectations

AGSM reputation is dependent on the conduct of the members of its community. We expect the conduct of our students to be fair and responsible at all times.

We expect behaviour to be consistent with a culture which places learning and collaboration above competition and to treat each other as we expect to be treated.

In general, UNSW policies apply to all staff and students of AGSM.

Career Development Centre events

When attending company presentations all AGSM students are expected to be dressed in business attire.

We understand that some students may have a casual dress policy at their workplace, but they are still expected to dress appropriately when attending presentations or events hosted by Career Development Centre.

When attending any job readiness seminar on interview preparation, resume development, cover letter casual dress is appropriate.

All AGSM students attending a Career Development Centre event must have their mobile phones on silent, and must not work on computers during these events.

Don’t forget to bring your business cards!
