How to apply

Before applying for admission into the MBA (Executive) Program, candidates must satisfy the entry requirements.

Please note that meeting the entry requirements does not guarantee an offer will be made. To be successful, candidates need to meet the entry requirements and also be able to demonstrate excellence across the entire application.

Application dates

Applications to the MBA (Executive) Program are accepted on a session by session basis. The Admissions Selection Committee makes final decisions on complete applications within four weeks of submission. For your reference, proposed dates for upcoming sessions of the AGSM MBA (Executive) Program.

Program and application timeframes for 2019 are listed below. 

Important dates for AGSM Term 1, 2019

  • Applications open: 17 September 2018
  • Deadline for applications: 28 January 2019
  • Classes commence: 18 February 2019
  • Classes conclude: 19 May 2019

Important dates for AGSM Term 2, 2019

  • Applications open: 18 February 2019
  • Deadline for applications: 13 May 2019
  • Classes commence: 3 June 2019
  • Classes conclude: 1 September 2019

Important dates for AGSM Term 3, 2019

  • Applications open: 3 June 2019
  • Deadline for applications: 29 July 2019
  • Classes commence: 16 September 2019
  • Classes conclude: 15 December 2019

Application process

The application process may differ slightly for each applicant, however, please follow the steps below: 

1. Apply online 
Complete and submit the online application via the UNSW Online Application website.

Please note:
  • The program code for the MBA (Executive) is 8355
  • Please refer to Application Dates above for the starting term.

2. Provide supporting documentation

Online Application:

Supporting documentation can be submitted together with your online application or uploaded to your application later, once you have been given a UNSW student ID number.

3. Selection process

Your completed application once received, is sent to the AGSM MBA Admissions Selection Committee for review.

4. Follow up if required

An applicant may be contacted to organise an admissions interview (ideally, this will be in person, but may be over the phone).

5. Outcome

An applicant is advised of the outcome of their application by email.

6. Response

In the case of a successful application and course placement offer, the applicant needs to notify his/her decision regarding acceptance of the offer or otherwise by the specified deadline.

Application fee

You will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of AUD$125 when submitting your application.
