Made for: Highly motived current and ex-service men and women who have served in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for a minimum period of 5 years.

AGSM is committed to recognising and supporting the members of our military. This scholarship is designed to encourage those who have proudly served our country to undertake a transformative professional experience that will complement their elite training. An AGSM MBA provides candidates with the skills and opportunities in executive and leadership development to propel their careers.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to applicants who are current or ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), having served for a minimum period of 5 years, are Australian citizens or hold permanent residency and are eligible for citizenship, and who submit an application and gain admission to the AGSM MBA program.

Selection criteria

In addition to meeting the AGSM MBA Admissions Requirements, scholarship applicants will be further assessed on the following criteria:

  • Outstanding academic achievement in previous studies
  • Career progression and outstanding achievement
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Defence Force and broader community
  • GMAT score

The Luminis AGSM Wharton Business Innovation Scholarship

Made For: Outstanding MBA candidates who demonstrate leadership potential and a record of business innovation.

The Luminis AGSM Wharton Business Innovation Scholarship will provide an exceptional pathway for outstanding leaders to forge a remarkable career in Australian business. Through a partnership with Luminis that reflects the symbiotic nature of the business and academic excellence, the scholarship will raise the prestige of the program and enhance AGSM as the first choice for business education in the region.

Value and funding
  • Full tuition fee waiver plus a stipend of up to a maximum of $41,750 for exchange
  • Exchange program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
  • United States based internship/work placement*
  • One recipient per year
  • Co-funded by AGSM @ UNSW Business School and Luminis Foundation
  • *Internship component is subject to US visa requirements and must be arranged by the student with assistance from Wharton’s career services

AGSM Global Reach Scholarship

Made For: Top MBA candidates from across the globe who possess a global leadership perspective and have demonstrated strong regional achievements.

The AGSM Global Reach Scholarship will give talented students access to AGSM’s leading full-time MBA program and contribute to the renowned diversity of the full-time MBA cohort. This scholarship will also enhance the global profile of the MBA program and AGSM’s ranking of 6th in the world for International Mobility*. (*Financial Times, UK 2015)

  • Up to full tuition fee waiver
  • Up to two recipients per region
  • Funded by AGSM @ UNSW Business School
  • Applicants will automatically be considered for partial/half tuition fee waivers if they are not successful in obtaining the full tuition scholarship. This decision is made at the discretion of the Selection Committee

Made For: Effective leaders working toward workplace gender equality and the success of other aspiring female business leaders

The AGSM Director's Women in Leadership Scholarship will give top talent across the globe access to AGSM’s leading full-time MBA program. This scholarship will assist with enabling strong female leaders to complete a world-class business education while raising awareness of and working to overcome the global trend of low female representation in positions of executive leadership and postgraduate business education.

Joseph Barling Fellowship

Made For: UNSW Engineering graduates seeking to further develop their expertise and acumen through full-time postgraduate study

The Joseph Barling Fellowship was established in recognition of the gift from the Estate of the late Joseph Somers Barling. This Scholarship is aimed at improving the standing and promoting the image of graduate engineers by encouraging UNSW Engineering graduates to undertake full-time postgraduate study in a program related to business, or public administration at UNSW.

Value and funding
  • $30,000 tuition fee waiver or per annum stipend for PhD candidates
  • One recipient per year
  • Funded by Joseph Barling Fellowship
Eligibility

This scholarship is open to UNSW Engineering graduates (preference given to Electrical Engineering graduates) who apply and gain admission to one of the following programs:

  • AGSM MBA
  • Master of Technology Management (MTM);
  • Master of Engineering Science (MEngSc) or Master of Engineering Science (Ext) in Engineering and Technical Management
  • Manufacturing Engineering & Management
  • Master of Engineering or PhD by Research in Manufacturing Engineering & Management

The American Australian Association USA to Australia Fellowship

The USA to Australia Fellowship is offered by the American Australian Association to build on strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia. Each year, the American Australian Association awards individual Fellowships of up to US$40,000 for advanced study in Australia. The Fellowships build on existing strong social and economic partnerships and foster intellectual exchange between the United States and Australia. To date, over 150 Fellows have received awards totalling over US$4.5 million.
