Enrolment process for new students

Information to help you enrol in your program

Each session, AGSM offers an Orientation to commencing students in order to:

  • Answer your questions
  • Help you start building networks
  • Help you with your return to study
  • Familiarise you with your rights and responsibilities as an AGSM student

Attendance is highly recommended.

The Orientations for 2017 are scheduled as below:

Before you enrol, ensure that your personal details are up-to-date on myUNSW.

By enrolling, you are agreeing to be bound by the policies and procedures of UNSW, so you should familiarise yourself with them before you enrol.

Recognition of Prior Learning

AGSM MBA Programs typically reviews and processes RPL during the admissions phase. Please see the RPL Policy.

During the Admissions process, eligible students may be offered a waiver for a Foundation course(s) if they have strong experience in a particular area. Students who accept a waiver are responsible for ensuring they complete an alternate course(s) to make up the UOC. Students are encouraged to be academically curious and use these UOC to explore specialisations which may assist their progress in their current industry or to try entirely new areas with the aim of changing careers.

The Getting Started section of the UNSW website will guide you through enrolment.

Important: AGSM sessions and key dates are different to those for the rest of the university, so when you enrol, you will need to use the UNSW Session Name from the following table and refer to the AGSM key dates:

AGSM Programs aims to have schedules available about 2 years at a time to assist in planning your studies in advance to best use your time and allow you to balance your personal and work schedule with your studies. Ask Student Experience for a consultation regarding your Program Planning at any time (the best approach is to email us so we can look into your options and let us know some good times for us to call you back to discuss).
