UNSW Business School Melbourne Alumni: C-Suite of the Future Short Course Scholarship

  1. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit. All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third-party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other competitions.
  2. Employees of the Promoter (The University of New South Wales) associated agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. By “employees” we mean current full-time, part-time and casual employees, employed on either a permanent or fixed term basis. By “immediate family member” we mean children, siblings and parents of the employee.
  3. The judging panel will be appointed at the sole discretion of the Promoter and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. The intellectual property in each entry remains with each entrant. By entering this competition, each entrant irrevocably grants to the Promoter a non-exclusive worldwide licence to use their entry for an unlimited period without remuneration in any media now known or hereafter devised the purpose of promoting the Promoter’s activities.   5. This competition has a single prize of an AGSM Short Course voucher valued at AUD $5,000 (inclusive of GST). The winner may select from the AGSM Short Course public range of non-award courses only to the value of AUD $5,000 (inclusive of GST). The voucher cannot be used towards award programs, events, customised courses or any other service offered by the Promoter.
  6. The competition will be open from 4 April 2017 until 30 June 2017. The prize is valid until 30 June 2018 and must be redeemed by the winner by this date for an AGSM Short Course scheduled either in 2017 or 2018.
  7. The competition will be open to graduates of UNSW Business School and/or AGSM and based in Victoria, Australia. The Promoter reserves the right to deny a place on any course deemed unsuitable for the winner based on career experience and previous professional development.
  8. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email as well as announced at the first UNSW Business School including AGSM Melbourne alumni event of financial year 17/18.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition as necessary due to circumstances outside its control.
  10. The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Any attempt to resell or auction all or any part of this prize will result in an immediate cancellation of the prize.
  11. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, a winner does not participate in their chosen course at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any component of the prize for a course of equal value at its discretion.
  13. The prize must be used entirely by one individual. The winner may choose to gift the prize to another person as long as that person meets the required experience and/or previous development required for their chosen short course.
  14. Travel to and from, extra meals, accommodation or ancillary costs to attend the course/s are at the winner’s expense, unless included in the standard course fee for the chosen course.
  15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by laws.
  16. By entering this competition, all entrants will be automatically subscribed to The AGSM Leader quarterly thought leadership publication and AGSM product information and offers. These subscriptions are digital and at no cost to the entrant. Entrants not wishing to receive these communications may choose to unsubscribe on their first edition.
  17. By entering the competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  19. The information you are asked to provide to the Promoter is personal information and is protected by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988 (NSW). We will not disclose this information to other parties other than in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988 (NSW).
