Information Systems Management addresses current management issues in the deployment of information systems and information technology. It deals with the relationship between the organisation and its information systems, strategic and tactical planning for information systems and the management of the development and acquisition of systems and technology. Attention is paid to issues such as outsourcing vs. insourcing, business continuity planning and the provision of information for decision makers. The focus is on management, not the technology itself. View a short video of Graham Low talking about this course.
