This course addresses the management and application of business systems in the supply/ service chain as well as essential concepts and technologies which underpin business operations. Topics include IS theories in relation to organisational structures and decision making, data mining, systems that support managers and business operations; types of electronic commerce and inter-organisational systems; Internet and World Wide Web applications ; security; payment systems; applications in the banking, retail and manufacturing industries; problems relating to implementations of business systems in the supply chain.
