Rapid changes in technology and the emergence of new business models are disrupting many, if not all, industries. Increasingly managers need to understand the sources of disruption and the strategies they can adopt to confront and take advantage of the current wave of disruption. Drawing on lessons from disruptors like Uber and AirBnB, as well as examples of established firms that have been able to adapt to major disruption, students in this course will be introduced to key concepts in business strategy and will have the opportunity to apply this understanding to identify successful strategies across a range of industries and sectors.
