The Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) (Honours), UNSW Sydney, is a scholarship program sponsored by distinguished industry partners that also incorporates a research project. This program explores capital markets and institutions, business finance, portfolio management, international business finance and research methods and more.
The 1st year of study will introduce you to accounting, financial management, economics, management and a choice of electives that include social impact and digital transformation.
In your 2nd year, you will undertake your first industry placement, in conjunction with core courses and electives. The core courses explore asset pricing and corporate finance, and the elective options include risk, fintech, international banking and more.
For the 3rd year, and part of the 4th, you will complete 2 more industry placements. Then finalise your studies with a research thesis on a financial idea that fascinates you, along with core business courses and electives.

Global work/study opportunities
Co-op (Honours) students can participate in an
international student exchange, a
social entrepreneurship practicum or global business practicum, international business case competitions and study tours.
Co-op Scholarship, Mentoring and Internships
The Co-op scholarship is A$19,600 each year for 4 years. It is tax-free and paid fortnightly over the duration of the program.
Students are assigned their own mentor – a graduate of the Co-op Program who helps shape goals and strategies for success in the first industry placement, along with general career advice.
