On 30 November, the Australian Embassy in Jakarta will host
BusinessThink I Indonesia 2017: The Art and Science of Innovation, on behalf of UNSW Sydney.
Guests will be welcomed by Professor Chris Styles, Dean UNSW Business School and Mr Matthew Duckworth, Minister Counsellor in Economic, Investment and Infrastructure Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Keynote speaker
Associate Professor Joel Pearson
Internationally recognised neuroscientist, UNSW Sydney

Dr Joel Pearson is a psychologist, neuroscientist, public intellectual, company founder and keynote speaker working at the forefront of science, innovation, agile science, and new mind measurement technologies.
He is the director of the UNSW Science of Innovation Lab, which is focused on scientifically mapping the DNA of innovation. The lab creates new tools to scientifically measure dimensions of the human mind which are critical for effective innovation, such as intuition, creativity, resilience, and lateral thinking.
His research is at the forefront of innovation science; intersecting the study of Innovation with Psychology and Neuroscience. The lab’s findings are translated into evidence-based practices, exercises, workshops, and classes.

Professor Nick Wailes
Associate Dean (Digital & Innovation), UNSW Business School

Professor Nick Wailes is Associate Dean (Digital & Innovation) and is responsible for leading the digital transformation of the UNSW Business School. His research focusses on the impact of technology on industries and organisations and he teaches and consults in the areas of leadership, strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship. Nick led the development of MBAX, AGSM’s specialist online MBA, and prior to joining UNSW was the MBA Director at University of Sydney.
His research has focused on technology and organisational change. He has also conducted research in international and comparative human resource management and strategic management.

Fendi Gunawan Liem is the Founder and Managing Director of PT Selaras Daya Utama (SEDAYU), a renewable energy sector engineering procurement and construction company that specialises in solar power.
Fendi is responsible for managing the overall business operation and development of the company to ensure its performance aligns with the vision and mission of the company.
As a leading pioneer of Indonesia’s renewable energy companies, SEDAYU has developed more than 100 projects for the State Electricity Company, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bank Indonesia and private residential projects throughout Indonesia.
Ibu Ernie Ginting
Corporate Performance Initiatives Manager, PT Pertamina

Ernie D.Ginting is Vice President Corporate Performance & Initiatives Management of PT Pertamina (Persero), a state-owned oil and gas mining company in Indonesia, where she has worked for more than twenty years.
As an experienced change management professional, Ernie is responsible for Pertamina’s performance at corporate level and supervising KPI rollout to ensure operational and individual goals are met.
Since 2006, Ernie has executed transformation programs which have been delivering significant impact to Pertamina’s financial and operational performance, including the successful implementation of Performance Management System & CoPI (Community of Practices & Implementation) across PT Pertamina (Persero).
Ibu Yeti Khim
Group Product Manager, GO-FOOD, GO-JEK group

Yeti Khim has been leading the GO-FOOD product platform in GO-JEK for the last two years, during which the product has grown more than five times and scaled from 10 to 50 cities across Indonesia.
With a background across strategy, operations and consulting before joining GO-JEK, she worked in the Business Strategy & Operations team at Dropbox in San Francisco and at a boutique management consulting firm in Boston.
She holds a multi-disciplinary bachelor's degree from Swarthmore college in French language, biology, and education.
