The 2019 Meet the Professors series is a wonderful chance for students and staff to celebrate the careers and achievements of our newly promoted and recruited professors. Our speakers will share their specialist knowledge and provide insights into ‘what’ and ‘who’ influenced their lives and careers.
Professor Paul Andon, School of Accounting, UNSW Business School
Paul’s research concentrates on issues in accountability, governance, and assurance as they relate to controlling fraud and other forms of workplace misconduct, and responding to organisational crises. His research on serious workplace fraud is funded by an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant, and is being conducted in partnership with leading forensic accounting firm McGrathNicol and the Australian Institute of Criminology. His research has been published in a range of leading international journals and presented at a range of international conferences, and contributed to books on contemporary management accounting practice.

Professor Michael Handler, School of Law (The Allens Hub for Technology, Law & Innovation)
Michael's research is in the field of intellectual property law, focusing in particular on national and international trade mark law, and the international regulation of geographical indications of origin. Michael is the co-author of Australian Trade Mark Law (2nd ed, Oxford University Press, 2016), one of the leading texts on the topic. He is also the co-author of Australian Intellectual Property: Commentary, Law and Practice (2nd ed, Oxford University Press, 2015). He has written numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on various aspects of local and international intellectual property law, in publications including the Modern Law Review, Melbourne University Law Review, Federal Law Review and the Trademark Reporter. He has also co-authored influential submissions to government law reform inquiries.

Any guests attending events can be dropped off directly out the front of the main entrance. Vehicles need to arrive via High Street, Gate 9. Vehicles need to follow the road speed limit.
