Monday, 9 April 2018
Applications are now open for the
Professor Wanbil Lee Prize for Ethical Leaders in Business.
All AGSM students and Alumni who actively demonstrate entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and business ethics within their workplace are strongly encouraged to apply. This prize was established by Professor Wanbil Lee to recognise business leaders who resolve business challenges ethically and in doing so inspire others to act in accordance.
Eligible applicants are either a current student or a graduate from one of the three AGSM MBA program streams: MBA Full Time, MBAE (Executive) or MBAX (Online). This is a global prize and nominees can be of any nationality and based anywhere in the world.
Professor Wanbil Lee stated that "Ethical leaders are those who do the right thing right. Doing the right thing means taking a course of action that results in techno-economic gains while also benefiting society. It's often not easy, but it is achievable and something leaders should strive for".
The Winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize and will be profiled across the UNSW Business School and AGSM websites and social media channels. An announcement will also be included within the AGSM alumni Edge newsletter and will be recognised at the UNSW Business School annual awards ceremony on 6 June 2018.
"Ethical leadership is about encouraging people to make choices with integrity and demonstrating to them the benefits of ethical behaviour," says 2016 prize winner Simone Herbert-Lowe. "I encourage all AGSM students and graduates who are making a difference for the community through their work to consider applying for the Professor Wanbil Lee Prize."
Applications close 7 May 2018. Apply online now.
