Around 100 AGSM current students and alumni gathered at Ernst & Young's Canberra offices this month to expand their professional network and hear the latest news from the School.

AGSM Director, Professor Chris Styles and AGSM Careers Director, Robyn Gleeson discussed the launch of the AGSM's global business networks as well as the AGSM's commitment to providing careers advice for students hoping to work in the wider Asia Pacific region.

A panel of speakers including Ernst & Young Partners Lucille Halloran and Luke Healy as well as Jerome Reid from the Department of Defence shared their individual career journeys with alumni.

A break-out session of 'speed networking' ensured everyone had the opportunity to meet someone new.

AGSM Alumni Singapore Event

On May 9th, approximately 40 ASB alumni and friends came together to celebrate the AGSM's 35th Anniversary at Singapore's Redsea Gallery.

Guests of honour included Professor Chris Styles, Director of the AGSM as well as Chris Rees, Senior Australian Trade Commissioner. Professor Styles discussed with alumni some of the key takeaway messages from the 2012 AGSM 35th Anniversary conference on innovation, and he also shared future AGSM plans for increased alumni engagement.

The evening was an opportunity for alumni to network and catch up with one another while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the art gallery over champagne and canapés.

Also in attendance was Esther Teh, General Manager, Oroton Group, South East Asia, who presented to two lucky alumni door prizes sponsored by the company.
