An Australian School of Business alumnus was acknowledged in the annual Alumni Awards hosted by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, earlier this month.

Mr. Handi Irawan Djuwadi, former ASB student and current CEO of the Frontier Consulting Group, was honoured the Award for Entrepreneurship for showcasing his innovative and entrepreneurial business skills in Indonesia.

Each year, the Australian Embassy hands out 12 different Alumni Awards to recognize the outstanding contributions Indonesians have made in categories such as education, arts, national defence and entrepreneurship.

The Australian Alumni Awards provide Indonesians with one of the most concrete ways to measure the value of seeking a higher education in Australia.

When announcing the award winners, the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Greg Moriarty, said, "I am delighted to congratulate this year's winners - they are truly an inspiring group of people who are achieving great success in their chosen fields.

"It is very gratifying to see that so many Indonesians return from their studies in Australia and make significant contributions to Indonesia's progress."

For the past four years, The Australian Alumni Awards acknowledges the contributions to Indonesia's progress made by thousands of Indonesians who have studied at Australian schools, universities and technical colleges.
