Leadership Lift off with HNA Tourism and AGSM Short Courses
Thursday, 1 December 2016
AGSM @ UNSW Business School has welcomed HNA Tourism executives to Sydney on November 27 for a week long innovative, practical and experience-led program.
The experience will embed HNA executives in a western environment to increase their knowledge and confidence, and develop the leadership and business capabilities required to drive a globally- diverse business.
Designed by AGSM Fellow Dr Elizabeth Maitland, the program is based on action-learning, experiences, reflection and application exercises. These include key interactions with Australians of Aboriginal descent, corporate business and leading academics to create a personalised, intercultural and career-focused development experience.
During the program, the HNA participants will enjoy a mix of theory-based and experiential sessions, including outdoor leadership skills sessions, a visit to BridgeClimb Sydney, site visits and various lectures hosted by AGSM faculty.
Frank Kennedy, Executive Director of AGSM Short Courses, says the program plays a pivotal role in the AGSM’s support for UNSW Business School’s strategy of two-way engagement with Asia.
“The program we have developed with HNA is designed to create new ways of thinking and behaving when leading in a global framework. The partnership is helping the AGSM and the broader university develop even greater capacity to deliver the knowledge skills and critical thinking needed to drive a globally diverse business”.
