AGSM @ UNSW Business School has been placed among the top Business Schools in the world. The QS Global 250 Business Schools 2017 Report has listed Australia's leading graduate school of management among the “Global Elite”.
AGSM is one of 45 institutions globally in the Global Elite Quadrant. This recognises schools that score above QS’s top-tier thresholds for both research and employability, from the top 250 full-time MBA programs, across 36 countries.
The report is based upon the findings of two global surveys. A survey of international employers who hire MBA graduates, and a survey of academics with expertise in the fields of business and management. The results of these surveys are then used to inform a business school’s placement in the QS Quadrants in Employability and Research Excellence.
Director AGSM and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School, Professor Julie Cogin, said the result reflects the ongoing excellent performance of AGSM’s alumni community.
“Global employability and mobility of our MBA graduates has been a priority over the last few years and we have taken stock to ensure we provide not only an academically rigorous program, but world-class graduates who are part of a strong global network.
“This result is very encouraging and demonstrates that despite the competitive market in which we operate, the reputation and relevance of our full-time program remains very strong internationally,” she said.
Since the early 1990s QS has produced a list of top global business schools for full-time MBA study.
The 2017 Global 250 Business School results were compiled from 12,125 MBA employers over five years, which is the largest MBA employer survey ever conducted, and 76,798 academics over five years, of which 8,376 are experts in the fields of business and management.
