UNSW Business School does well in QS subject rankings 2018

UNSW Business School has solidified its place among the world's leading business schools, following the release of with QS World University Rankings which placed Accounting and Finance at UNSW among the top 10 in the world.

Professor Chris Styles, Dean of UNSW Business School, said the ranking reflected the business school's research output as well as reputation for career focused education amongst both academics and employers.

"The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018 show our research informs both academic and business thinking around the world and our connections and impact are global. We are particularly pleased that the business school achieved such strong rankings across all the disciplines we cover," Professor Styles said.

The QS subject ranking, released today, is based on reputation surveys, research citations and a research impact measure. Within Business School related disciplines, it only ranks Accounting and Finance, Business & Management, and Economics.

Mandy Cheng, Head of the School of Accounting at UNSW Business School says "this is really great news. Our Top 10 ranking is a recognition of the amazing talents and hard work of everyone at UNSW Business School, and an important step on our journey towards achieving the UNSW's 2025 Strategy."

Accounting & Finance has advanced one place to 10, Business & Management has gone up one spot to 22, while Economics & Econometrics moving one place up to 31.
