Catherine Brenner has an economics degree and a law degree from Macquarie University. She also has a Masters of Business Administration from the AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
She practiced as a corporate lawyer until early 1997 when she joined the investment bank, BZW (subsequently ABN AMRO). She worked her way up to a Managing Director of ABN AMRO where she held senior roles in the mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets divisions.
Catherine was appointed Chairman of AMP Limited in 2016, and has been a non-executive director since 2005. She is currently a Director of Boral and Coca-Cola Amatil, a Panel Member of Adara Partners and a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Catherine was previously a Director of Centennial Coal Company Limited, the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, and a Trustee at the Sydney Opera House.
