Peter Mason is Chairman of AusNet Services Ltd, a Director of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) and a Senior Advisor to UBS.
Peter has been an investment banker for more than 40 years. He was Chairman of JP Morgan and its predecessor Ord Minnett for 7 years, until 2005. Before that he was Chief Executive of Schroders Australia, and Group Managing Director of Schroders in the Asia Pacific region.
Peter is Chairman of The Centre for Independent Studies; Chairman of the UBS Australia Foundation; a Founding Panel Member of Adara Partners; and an Ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.
He was Chairman of AMP Limited; Chairman of David Jones Limited; Chairman of the Centre for International Finance and Regulation (CIFR); a Trustee of the Sydney Opera House Trust; and previously a director of a number of public companies. Peter has been a member of the Council of the University of New South Wales, and a Director of The University of New South Wales Foundation; a Director of the Children’s Hospital in Sydney, and Chairman of the Children’s Hospital Fund; and a Director of the National Youth Mental Health Foundation (Headspace).
