Rod de Aboitiz is the founder of Provecho Partners a specialist advisory firm for both start-up businesses and real estate investments in Australia.
Rod also works extensively with Millinium specialized Financial Services entity and Fund Manager and their most recent project is an asset management mandate for the Mirae, a Korean fund manager who recently purchased the Four Seasons Sydney hotel for $A340m. Rod is also an investor and advisor to open-learning, Australia’s largest and fastest growing Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).
Rod started his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) where he spent 12 years working in the firm's assurance practices in Sydney, Singapore, Vietnam and New York. He was Chief Financial Officer of Rothschild Australia a full service merchant bank with strong competencies in resources banking and bullion between 2004 and 2006, before his appointment as the Chief Financial Officer of the Abacus Property Group where he remained until 2012.
Rod is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) and Chairs the CFO Round Table for the Property Council of Australia. He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and an MBA from UNSW.
Rod is an honorary Alumni Leader in recognition of his service to the Business School as President of the Alumni Advisory Board (2006-08)
