Wendy Green is an Associate Professor at the UNSW who teaches Auditing and Assurance Services and Accounting for Climate Change and Sustainability. She is an Associate Professor who came to academia from the auditing profession where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Wendy teaches Auditing and Assurance Services at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as Accounting for Climate Change and Sustainability at the postgraduate level across several disciplines.
Wendy researches in the discipline of auditing and assurance, and her research focus to date has been on factors affecting audit and assurance quality. Wendy's research includes work on audit qualifications in Australia and in emerging markets, auditor switching, audit committees and auditor judgment and specialisation. More recently, Wendy's research has focused on informing the regulation of auditing and assurance in the areas of partner rotation and the assurance of nonfinancial information including carbon emissions and integrated reports.
Wendy's research has been published in the leading international auditing academic journals and has been included in refereed conference proceedings both in Australia and internationally. Her integrated reporting and carbon assurance research is supported by Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Grants with the two linkage partners being the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia.
