Peter Farrell Cup

The Peter Farrell Cup (PFC) is named after Peter Farrell, the founder and Chairman of ResMed and 2001 Australian Entrepreneur of the Year. Now in its 16th year, the Peter Farrell Cup started in 2001 as Australia's first student-run entrepreneurship competition.

Brought to you by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), it is our Business School’s annual student entrepreneur challenge. As one of the most important entrepreneurial activities at UNSW, it is open to students from all faculties.

This is a unique opportunity to develop the real-life entrepreneurial skills you’ll need to bring an innovation to market, with the support of industry mentors. If you win the final pitching round, you could walk away with a $15,000 prize – a potential kick-start for your future business.

Register for Final Night

Registrations are now open for audience members for the PFC 2016 Final Night, which will be held on 1 December 2016 in the Tyree Room, Scientia Building, UNSW.

The Competition

Over three months, teams develop their business ideas during workshops and with the support of industry mentors. They pitch their idea to a live judging panel, including members of Sydney’s innovation and entrepreneurship community. Ten finalists are selected to pitch for major prizes.

The goal of the competition is to encourage students to create, develop, and present viable business ideas.

All teams are expected to abide by the competition rules. The Business School and CIE reserve the right to disqualify, at any time, any team that violates the rules, regulations or the spirit of the competition.

UNSW has produced more tech entrepreneurs than any other Australian university in the past 15 years
