Participants & prizes

UNSW undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in the Undergraduate Research Poster Competition – first prize is $500 (per team) plus recognition on your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS). This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to extend their studies beyond the classroom.

UNSW Business School Honours students are invited to apply to give a talk on their research-in-progress at the Student Research Fair. All presenters will be given constructive feedback on their research by a discussant at the Fair and the student with the best presentation in each stream will be awarded $500 plus recognition on their AHEGS.

UNSW Business School HDR students (both PhD and MPhil) are encouraged to submit a poster in the HDR Poster Competition – first prize is also $500 plus recognition on your AHEGS. All shortlisted submissions are also printed free of charge for potential use at future conferences!

Industry and alumni panel discussion

2:00 – 3:00pm in the UNSW Business School

This is your opportunity to ask industry representatives and alumni about the benefits of research training.

Information sessions

3:30 - 4:30pm in the UNSW Business School

Honours programs

There will be separate information sessions for the UNSW Business School Honours programs offered in each of our Schools. If you're interested in Honours, check out our programs before the Fair and come to our information session to discuss your options and explore the benefits of an Honours degree from the UNSW Business School.

We do accept Honours applications from high-performing students at other universities.

Postgraduate research programs

The UNSW Business School accepts applications for its postgraduate research programs from high-performing Business graduates, but also potentially from applicants with relevant non-business disciplinary backgrounds such as Anthropology, Sociology, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Manufacturing, Engineering, Physics, Geography, History, Law, Mathematics, Statistics, or Psychology. Options include PhD programs in each of our Schools, or a Masters of Philosophy. If you’ve completed an Honours degree or have equivalent relevant experience, come to the Fair to find out if postgraduate research in the UNSW Business School is the right next step for you.
