Course enrolment guides for undergraduates

Enrolment recommendation for your program
Semester 1, 2018

For the rules of your program refer to the 2018 Handbook to complete your degree.

Key dates
  • Last day to enrol for Semester 1 2018 - 4 March 2018.
  • Census date - 31 March 2018 (last day to drop courses without financial penalty).
Enrolment load
  • Domestic students: enrol in one, two, three or four courses for each semester.
  • International students: enrol in four courses each semester to fulfil student visa requirements
Applying for Course Credit/Advanced Standing

Apply online via this form before 31 January, 2018

If you have been awarded course credits in your offer you will need to:

  1. Review the online handbook with regards to the next sequence of courses you should enrol in.
  2. You may like to complete a progression plan form to assist you in understanding what courses you should enrol in for your first and following semesters, to complete your degree.

Actuarial studies

Bachelor of Actuarial Studies / Bachelor of Science (3154)

You need to enrol in the following three Actuarial compulsory core courses and one Science course:

Bachelor of Actuarial Studies / Bachelor of Advanced Maths (Hons) (3589)

You need to enrol in the following three Actuarial studies compulsory core courses and one Advanced Maths (Hons) course:

Commerce

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science (Advanced Maths) (3523)

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses plus two Advanced Maths (Hons) courses:

Bachelor of Commerce / Advanced Science (Hons) (3593)

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses, one core statistics course, plus one Science course:

Note for Core Statistics course: Students should select the MATH or PSYC course required for their Advanced Science major. If a Advanced Science major does not require a MATH or PSYC course (for example the Pathology and Vision Science majors) or if the Advanced Science major does not require one of the statistics courses listed above, students should complete ECON1203. Students who complete ECON1203 to satisfy the requirement will have the course counted towards their Commerce degree component.

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Arts (3573)

You need to enrol in the following three Commerce core courses plus one Arts course:

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Aviation (Management) (3835)

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses plus two Aviation (Management) course:

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Design (Honours) (3568)

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses and two Design courses:

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (3764) (Administered by the Faculty of Engineering)

If you are undertaking a dual program with Engineering you will need to start off the first semester with science and engineering courses as outlined in the  UNSW Online Handbook.

Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Fine Arts (3567)

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses plus two Fine Arts courses:

You need to enrol in the following two Commerce core courses, plus one Science course:

Note for Core Statistics course: Students should select the MATH or PSYC course required for their Science major.
