Business School Welcome

The UNSW Business School Orientation will comprise of a full day of activities, including an official welcome from the Dean, opportunities to get to know your peers, the distribution of key information for successfully transitioning to university life and an amazing race around the campus.

  Date: 18 July
  Time: 11:00am - 3:30pm
  Location: The Science Theatre

The day will begin with a Business School Expo where you can find out about all the exciting opportunties and services that await you as a Business School student.

In the afternoon, international students must attend a special workshop on adapting to study and professional life in Australia. It's set to be a great day and a lot of fun!


  • 11:00am- Time to check out the expo
  • 12noon - The official welcome begins
  • 12:45pm - Tour of The Business School and your classrooms
  • 1:45pm - Lunch
  • 2:30 - International students workshop
  • 3:30pm - Activities conclude

Library, Technology and Study Skills Workshop

Rex Vowels Theatre

This one hour workshop will showcase the range of tools and resources available to you as a Business School student and also teach you how to access them. Covering both the Library and Digital support including IT and Moodle this session will ensure that you are well equipped to for your learning in general and importantly, your assessments!


Career Accelerator Workshop

A not to be missed workshop overviewing all of the fantastic opportunities available as a Business School student to build your employability from day one. The Career Accelerator platform is where it all begins and the opportunities you will hear about include;

Writing and Researching for Business

Most assessment tasks in the Business School require well developed researching and writing skills and these work in tandem with critical thinking. Learn about how argumentation combines all three essential skills.
