Your orientation day should be planned in two steps

STEP 1: Register to attend the UNSW Business School Welcome

UNSW Business School Welcome, 12:00pm, Ainsworth Theatre (G03)

In the welcome you will hear from the Business School Deputy Dean (Education), meet your fellow students and discover the UNSW Campus.

After the welcome session we invite you to join us for a complimentary BBQ on the Ball Sculpture Lawn.

STEP 2: Register for the afternoon Break-Out Workshops

Now we invite you to attend a series of workshops. These 30 min workshops give you the opportunity to find out more information about the services and opportunities available to you at the Business School and will prepare you for your time here. Each session will run a couple of times so that you can attend all of them if you wish - just create a schedule that suits you.

  • The various Student Societies, Services and Staff will be on hand to answer your questions and provide further information.
  • There will be organised campus tours.

Learn about the Business School’s goals and values underpinning your program of study; how mindfulness and sound study strategies can set you up for success.

Writing and Researching for Business

Most assessment tasks in the Business School require well developed researching and writing skills and these work in tandem with critical thinking. Learn about how argumentation combines all three essential skills.
