The UNSW Business School in collaboration with the Social Impact Hub are offering students an opportunity to undertake the COMM3030 Social Entrepreneurship Practicum at The Social Impact Hub enabling students to put their business skills and knowledge to use in planning and implementing a real project in a field of social impact.

COMM3030 SIH Sydney is offered in intensive mode over the summer, term one, two and three for 2019. Students are required to attend the Social Impact Hub and work with a social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation on a real world project in a field of social impact such as a social enterprise development, impact investing, impact measurement, philanthropy and human rights. You will gain invaluable practical experience while making a positive difference at the same time!

Eligibility

COMM3030 is available to UNSW undergraduate students enrolled in a single or dual Commerce, Economics, Actuarial Studies or Information Systems program who have met the following eligibility:

  • have an average minimum WAM of 65 or above;
  • have completed a minimum of 48 UOC at the commencement of this course;
  • are in good academic standing;
  • have room in their degree for this course;
  • have completed Career Accelerator: Essentials modules (if you are NOT a Business School student please email business.experience@unsw.edu.au to receive an access to the modules)
  • are not enrolled in the Co-Op Program

This course may count as a Business School free elective, OR as a major elective within some schools. It is recommended you complete a progression check prior to enrolling.

COMM3030 is also a General Education course for students from other Faculties.
