The UNSW Business School Dean’s List for Academic Excellence was established to recognise the outstanding achievements of its undergraduate students. It recognises the top 3% of students in the Business School single and double undergraduate degree programs, based upon performance in our courses in the previous calendar year. All Business School courses taken in 2018 will, therefore, count towards the 2018 Dean’s List. Recipients of the Award are presented with a certificate, an entry is recorded on their academic transcript and their names published on our website. Please see here for previous years’ recipients.
The Award is only available to students who have successfully completed a minimum of 24 units of credit (UOC) of Business School courses in the previous calendar year (industrial training/experience and exchange courses are not counted as completed units of credit). The Award is not available to students for their honours year.
Selection is based on a student’s WAM across Business School courses completed in the previous calendar year. Awards will be granted for the following stages (stages are based on UOC for all courses, not just Business School courses):
- Stage 1: 0-48 UOC completed
- Stage 2: 49-96 UOC completed
- Stage 3: >96 UOC completed
As the top 3% of students are selected, the cut-off WAM may vary from year to year and from stage to stage. Students may only receive a Dean's List Award once for each Stage.
The recipients of the 2018 Dean’s List Awards for Excellence will not be available before 15 April 2019. Students are strongly encouraged to arrange credit transfer applications as soon as possible. Any students applying for transfer of grades from cross-institutional study and/or exchange are advised to apply before the university shutdown period (18 December 2018 TBC). Late grades may affect your eligibility for inclusion on the Dean’s List.
Please email if you have any UG Dean’s List queries.
