Business case competitions

Our students have the opportunity to compete in highly regarded international business case competitions. Along with the benefits of getting involved in these competitions, students can also use the experience to impress future employers.

These competitions require teams to provide innovative solutions to real-life companies in a limited time frame. Teams then present their solutions to a panel of judges.

UNSW Business School has been invited to send a team to the following international case competitions in the first half of 2017:

Australian Undergraduate Business Case Competition

QUT Business School and UNSW Business School- Australia

In addition, UNSW Business School co-hosts the Australian Undergraduate Business Case Competition with Queensland University of Technology and the University of Melbourne. This is Australia’s only undergraduate strategy-based international case competition. This competition is held in the latter part of the year.

Students selected for these teams typically undertake workshops and training organised by the UNSW Consulting Club.

If you are interested in representing UNSW in these types of competitions, the best thing to do is apply for International Case Competition (ICC) membership through the UNSW UCC.
